About L.P. Kirkbride

LP Kirkbride – author and artist

I have a bachelor of arts degree in English literature with a focus on Medieval literature, as I have always loved history as well. I am also a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America.

I started writing stories when I was six years old and poetry at fourteen. And haven’t stopped writing since. I also write poetry and children’s literature, but historical romantic comedy is my favorite. I love matching history with a good story. And I’m a romantic at heart. I started drawing at six years old, illustrating my short stories, and continue to do artwork now as well.

The writer who currently inspires me the most is JK Rowling for her integrity and sense of fun. But I am also very fond of Jane Austen and Shakespeare.
